Greetings my name is Demetris Johnson Jr and I am from Earle Arkansas. I grew up with 6 sisters and 5 brothers I am the Second oldest. Being the second oldest has showed me how to provide in such ways that I didn’t know that I could. That's when I decided to run for earle city council at the age of 20 years old becoming the youngest City Council Member in the state of Arkansas. I graduated from Earle high school with honors , and decided to attend the great lane college. I graduated in fall of 2022 with a bachelors in physical education with a minor in biology And I have the honor of serving as your ward two position 2 city councilman. My primary goal is showing the youth there is a way no matter how many down falls you have! You just have to persevere through the storms.

I am a lifelong member of the Earle Community and surrounding area, I was born, bred and educated in this delta area of Arkansas. I always felt that I was born to serve, so I chose a profession that ended in serving my fellowman for 43 years as a public school employee was one profession. I have served as a nurse assistant, domestic work, audit assistant, and food preparer, so servitude here I come. I love the New Bethel Church Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Archie and Sister Erica Conley, Jr. where I serve in many capacities, along with fellowshipping with surrounding ministries.
I have chosen to make Earle my permanent home because of the close knitted relationships that can be established and my parents made a home for us here. The majority of my siblings live here and were also educated from this school system
I am a member of various civic organizations, but I come back to Earle to lay my head down and rest.
I am a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for many years fast approaching my golden label, which I was initiated on the campus of Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, AR where I ascertained my first degree and completed some graduate work. I did some graduate work on the campus of University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR and Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, AR to help prepare me for the 43 years of helping to educate our people.
I am retired from the public school, but I am still educating my people, I am a Licensed Financial Coach that can share with you about how your money works for you. Reach out to me.
I am serving Earle as City Council member of Ward 2, along with you, my constituents for prosperity and productivity.
My highest priority and concern for Earle is working harmoniously with the various businesses, school, and community at large to prosper our town.
